Juventus commissioned a new full-length video Manifesto to express the essence of the club, articulate its values and highlight its ambitions with a forward-looking perspective.
The film had to answer a fundamental question: why does Juventus exist? It was conceived as a defining brand statement, supported by a strong manifesto voiceover and a combination of original and archival footage. Alongside the main film, a teaser built around the payoff “We are youth. Since 1897.” would anticipate the launch.
The manifesto needed to balance heritage and contemporaneity without leaning too heavily on nostalgia. Juventus is rooted in 1897, yet positioned as a modern global icon. The communication had to elevate the club beyond sport, framing it as a symbol of elegance, craftsmanship and lifestyle, while preserving competitive ambition and hunger for greatness. The tone required refinement and authority, avoiding both celebratory excess and institutional rigidity. The challenge was to create a visual and narrative language capable of embodying timelessness and forward momentum at the same time.
The film translates the Manifesto “Our name is our name” into a sequence of symbolic and highly composed visual statements. Black and white define the visual identity, reinforcing heritage and elegance. The Juventus flag acts as a recurring anchor, connecting past and present. Craftsmanship is expressed through tactile details of fabric and tailoring, positioning the jersey as an emblem of Italian excellence.
Competitive ambition emerges through focused training moments and controlled intensity, while victory is portrayed with restraint and refinement. The film closes on the collective dimension of the club, culminating in the line “We are youth. Since 1897.”, merging origin and future into one statement.
